Wilderness Survival (Fire Starting)

Preparation is everything.
Making the nest for the fire.

A nice nest for flint and steal.

 Learning the ropes.

The Bow and Drill not an easy thing to do.

Even the Young Women gave it a try.

We had a great time learning how to make fire with flint and steal and a bow and drill.   We learned how to make char cloth and cooked some food on rocks.   Next step taking our skills to the wild.

Youth Conference

                                                              Having fun on the tubes.
Morgan designed these rafts that the youth put together to go out on the lake (They did not make it in tacked.)   The leaders made it out and back with no problem.
The group ready to go on the Green River.
The nastiest sandwich ever made!  It had peanut butter, ham, turkey, mayo, mustard, honey, lettuce, tomato's, pickles, apples, grapes, and banana laffy taffy.  I think that was it?
                                                                Having fun in the boat.
We just had a great week at youth conference.  We went to Flaming Gorge with the Young Women. We had a blast. We wake boarded, tubed, played in the water, ran the river,  and had lots of spiritual experiences. We have the best youth in the whole church. Thank you to all the leaders especially Sean and Kerei for all the time that was put in to it. It was an awesome trip.
